Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence

A recent gathering in Madrid welcomed faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The meeting included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, and Denise González. Speakers shared personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how open dialogue can reduce prejudice.

Throughout the gathering, participants considered themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, emphasised that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when supported by education and dialogue.
